Slogan’s History

    It was back in 2002 when for the first time the organizers of Eurovision Song Contest decided to give the contest a particular theme to create a coherent of the whole spectacle. This theme was taken up in the logo, decor, postcards and even the clothes of the presenters. They came up to create a slogan for the contest and the first result was "A Modern Fairytale". This was a reference to the surprise victory of the country in the competition, the previous year.
   This simple suggestion became tradition and one of the most important things in this competition, two – three words that will enclosure all the spirit of Eurovision Song Contest.
   Some of the cleverest slogans was from Turkey 2004, Greece 2006, Azerbaijan 2012, Sweden 2013 and Austria 2015.

  • 2013: “We Are One” (Malmö Sweden).
  • 2014: “#JoinUs” (Copenhagen, Denmark).
  • 2015: “Building Bridges” (Vienna, Austria).
  • 2016: “Come Together” (Stockholm, Sweden).
