The Netherlands 2016 : Douwe Bob

It’s been only four months from the celebration of the 60th Eurovision Song Contest and our beloved The Netherlands made their vanguard yesterday, September 22, by announcing the artist who will represent the country in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016. The 61st contest will be held in the beautiful city of Stockholm after the victory of Sweden with the song "Heroes" performed by Måns Zelmerlöw with his wonderful virtual companion "MP".
The artist who will be "dressed" with the tricolour flag of the Netherlands is Douwe Bob. Born in Amsterdam, only 23 years old, the singer-songwriter Douwe Bob Posthuma became known with his participation and victory in the TV show "De beste singer-songwriter van Nederland" (This best singer-songwriter of the Netherlands).
In 2013 he released his first solo album entitled "Born in a storm" and wins the impressions with the wonderful song "Stone into the river", also great impression did the "Multicoloured angels", but you must listen the songs "She Knows" , "I smoke and I drink", "Beautiful", and "I gave them." The artist's style look very familiar and will remind you the participation of The Netherlands in 2014 with the wonderful The Common Linnets - Calm after the storm.
In May 2015 his second album is a fact, “Pass It On” is the title of the album and the first single is a surprise duet with the acclaimed singer Anouk. The album is moving in the same footsteps as the first and gives us melodies that only a genuine Dutch can create.
The promising country in 2014 took the second place, this year failed even to qualify for the final of the great competition. Many heard and many were written, but it is certain that The Netherlands the recent years has shown us that they wants desperately the grand victory.
We just have to wait patiently for several months to celebrate together the largest and oldest Song Contest of all the time and see what the talented Swedes are preparing for the 61st Eurovision Song Contest 2016 Stockholm.
