Jessica Hilda Mauboy is better known as Jessica, born in Darwin, Australia in August 4th, 1989. Jessica is a multi-talented young lady as she can be a singer, songwriter, and actress together. She become famous from the fourth season of Australian Idol in 2006. Been Waiting is the debut album of Jessica, released in 2008 under the label of Sony Music Australia.
In 2010 Jessica’s second album Get 'Em Girls produced four platinum singles, and three years later her third studio album Beautiful highlighted by three top-ten hits "Pop a Bottle (Fill Me Up)", "Never Be the Same" and "Can I Get a Moment?". In the meanwhile, Jessica took part as an actress in several films and series like Bran Nue Dae in 2010, The Sapphires in 2012, which earned her the AACTA Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role, and The Secret Daughter in 2016 where she played for two seasons.
Jessica has a massive success in Australia with five top-ten albums, including a #1, and 16 top-twenty singles. She has won two ARIA Music Awards from 24 nominations, and was ranked sixteenth on the Herald Sun's list of the "100 Greatest Australian Singers of All Time". Her success led her to collaborations with huge stars of the international music industry such as Flo Rida, Snoop Dogg, Ludacris, Jay Sean, and Pitbull. She also toured with Beyoncé and Chris Brown, and performed at many notable events, including the Australian visits for Oprah Winfrey, Ellen DeGeneres, and US President Barack Obama.
Mauboy is already member of the Eurovision Family, she has performed as a guest at the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2014.
