After the announcement of the official dates for Eurovision 2015, 19/21/23 May, Hellenic National Broadcaster NERIT gave the green light to Greece for her official participation in next year’s Eurovision that will be held in Austria after the winning of Conchita Wurst in Copenhagen 2014 with the song “Rise like a Phoenix”.
    The news came few days after the official returning of Cyprus in Eurovision 2015. We are in the end of July and 22 countries are officially participates for the 60th anniversary of the world’s most popular TV Show, Eurovision Song Contest. This year, 2014, Greece celebrated 40 years from her first participation in the Contest. Greece has one victory in Eurovision in Kiev 2005 with Helena Paparizou and the song “My number One”, song that concurred the 4th place among the 5 most popular/beloved songs in the Show “Congratulations: 50 Years of Eurovision Song Contest”. Helena participated in the most popular Scandinavian Show “Melodifestivalen 2014” to have a chance to represent Sweden in Eurovision 2014; unfortunately she ended 4th with the song “Survivor”.
    These days ORF will announce the Hosting City for Eurovision 2015 Austria. Till then the battle among Vienna, Graz and Innsbruck continues.
