Greece

    Demy will represent Greece in the 62nd Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Kiev after the victory of Jamala in Stockholm in 2016. After last year's failure of Greece not to make it to the Grand Final, Greek Broadcaster ERT, made directly awarded to one of the most beautiful and euphonious singers of Greek discography.
    Dimitra Papadea began her artistic concerns at the age of five years where she began to learn the piano, before even make her first contact with the school. Growing attended theory and harmony lessons but also sang in choirs. The piano and voice lessons are parts of her everyday life until now.
    Finishing school was introduced in Athens Law University which even today continues to follow lessons. The sounds of music are innumerable but she stands out the jazz, soul, rock n roll and r'n'b and she does not stop experimenting and vocal interpretation in these genres.
    Her first record attempt came with the Panic Records and the single “Mia zografia (o kosmos mas)” (A painting (Our World)), which exceeded 10.000.000 views on YouTube remaining No 1 for months in airplay chart.
    After the success followed by "Front Only" and the “Fallin '”, which was released worldwide by the Ultra company and in Eastern Europe from Broma 16 company and made tremendous success winning the No1 in charts.
    Dimitris Kontopoulos and Nick Moraitis, gave Demy the wonderful song “Poseshiliades kalokeria” (How Many Thousands Summers) surpassed all expectations and gave the authors the opportunity to enjoy the No1 for over ten weeks.
    There followed many awards such as the Year Emerging Award in the "Women of the Year" in 2011, the Breakthrough artist award at the Mad Video Music Awards 2012, and the hip hop / urban and duet / collaboration with Midenistis for the song “Mia zografia (o kosmos mas)” (A painting (Our World.
    In 2013 returns with the song "Ki an Prospatho” (And If I try), the hit single "The Sun", the "Meno”(I’m Staying) in composition of Dimitris Kontopoulos and lyrics by Nikos Moraitis. In 2014 she makes sense with the song "Nothing Better" and in April of that year starring in the musical-theatrical show "Priscilla".
    In 2014 continues to make sweeping success with "Oso o kosmos tha ehei esena” (The world would have you), and continues to impress with the interpretation of the title role of Maria Von Trap in the musical "Sound of Music". In 2015 he starred in the Musical 'Adams Family' and this year continues to lead the first Greek version of the legendary Musical 'Mama Mia' of ABBA.
    Greece will compete in the second half of the first semi-final on 9th of May. The song that will interpret Demy in the Eurovision stage called "This is Love" by Dimitris Kontopoulos and the direction of the entry is in the hands of the famous Fokas Evaggelinos.
