    Brendan Murray will represent Ireland in the 62nd edition of Eurovision Song Contest that will be held in Kiev, Ukraine on 9, 11 and May 13 after the victory of Jamala in Stockholm last year.
    Brendan comes from Tuam in County Galway and is known in his country from the age of 17 when he joined the boy band Hometown who became known in 2014 with their first single Where I Belong, which was the fastest selling that year, reaching No. 1 on the charts in Ireland.
    The announcement of the National broadcaster of Ireland, RTÉ, that Brendan Murray will represent the country in the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest held in Irish show The Late Late Show by Louis Walsh.
    Louis Walsh said, "Brendan is perfect for Eurovision, he has a distinctive voice and a look that I think will really appeal to audiences across Europe. I want to find the best song for Brendan to perform on that Eurovision stage. I’m going to use my own contacts in the business and I want to hear songs from Irish songwriters or songwriters abroad until I find the best song. I won’t rest until I do!"
    Brendan will perform to Eurovision stage in May 11th in the first half of the second semi-final with the song Dying to try.
